Laurel business damaged by gunfire, police investigating

LAUREL, Del. – Delaware State Police are investigating a shots fired incident that damaged a Laurel business.

Shortly after 7:30 a.m. Tuesday, an employee of Todd’s Income Tax arrived at work to discover that the building had been damaged by gunshots. Troopers arrived on scene and found several shell casings on Commercial Lane, along with three bullet holes in the building.

The incident reportedly occurred after the business closed at around 5 p.m. Monday and before employees returned to work Tuesday. There was no one in the building at the time of the incident.
