Gulls drop to 1-3 on season

SALISBURY, Md- The Salisbury men’s basketball team fell to 1-3 on the year, dropping an 82-80 contest on Wednesday afternoon against Stockton.

With the game tied at 80 with 8.1 seconds remaining, Salisbury turned the ball over and watched Stockton’s DJ Campbell race the other way for the game-winning layup as time expired.

Gary Briddell led the Gulls with 28 points, with teammate Jordan Oates netting 24. For Stockton (3-0), Kiyon Flanders finished with a game-high 30 points. Campbell finished with 24, including the final two at the horn.

SU will travel to Owings Mills, MD. on Saturday to participate in the Pride of Maryland Shootout. They will take on Goucher at 1pm.
