Faunce continues clean up Salisbury effort at local VFW’s for Veterans day
SALISBURY, Md. – A Salisbury man spent the day doing a good deed. Craig Faunce, of the Faunce Foundation, is continuing his work in cleaning up Salisbury, but on Veterans Day, he took his efforts to the local VFW’s.
Since last year, Faunce has been taking a few days out of the week to pick up trash around Salisbury. He tells us, there isn’t another motive behind his efforts, he just wants a cleaner city.
Faunce decided to clean up the area around the local VFW’s, and he tells 47 ABC, veterans are some of the most important people, and what better way to continue his cleaning efforts by also taking care of a place that celebrates vets as well.
“It looks good and that’s the way it should. We’ve got a nice memorial on the other side there’s a mural they just made. This is a part of Salisbury so just trying to do something nice for the veterans,” says Faunce. He adds, “Granted this is only one road, I walked a mile from 7/11 down but anyone who drives down this road will at least for a day won’t see all this stuff.”
Faunce also tells us, he hopes the city of Salisbury can get together once a month and clean up individuals’ neighborhoods. He says, if it’s a place we want our children and grandchildren to live, then we should take care of it.
