Now, the community is stepping up by creating a GoFundMe account.
“They are just really good people and one of the things about this community is whether you know them or not the community as a whole always comes out together to rally around people when they have something tragic happen, whether it’s a fire or an accident or emergency, this community as a whole is just amazing,” Colby Phillips, organizer of Local Help For You Worcester County Facebook page, said.
Right now, the goal of the GoFundMe is $10,000, the community has already raised over $8,000.
The wife of Dennis says, “I don’t even know how to begin to thank everyone! It’s so emotional and I’m so incredibly thankful. Thank you from the bottom of my family’s heart! My family and I are so lucky to live in a community to rise up and take care of each other.”
