Police: One injured in Dover shooting, investigation underway

DOVER, Del. – Dover Police are investigating a shooting that injured one Thursday evening.

We’re told at around 6 p.m., officers were called to the area of South Kirkwood Street for a report of shots fired. On scene, police found shell casings in the area, and discovered that an occupied home was hit as well.

While on scene, police learned that a 23-year-old man arrived at Bayhealth Kent Campus Emergency Room with a gunshot wound to the leg. He was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
