Police: Man arrested for stolen license plate found with loaded gun, drugs
EASTON, Md. – A man is behind bars after police found a loaded gun and drugs in his possession.
We’re told officers with the Easton Police Department were called to the area of N. Park Street for a report of a vehicle with extensive damage in the middle of the roadway. On arrival, officers found two males by the vehicle, and the owner was identified as 24-year-old Amon Stowers of Grasonville, MD. A check on the vehicle revealed that the license plate was stolen, and Stowers was subsequently placed under arrest.
A search incident to arrest resulted in the recovery of a loaded 9mm semi-automatic handgun, 3 bags of marijuana totaling approximately 157 grams, a digital scale, and a pint bottle containing promethazine hydrochloride syrup, all on Stowers’ person.
Stowers is being held without bond on a list of charges, including theft, handgun on person, and various drug offenses.
