Police: Dover KFC burglary under investigation

DOVER, Del. – Dover Police say a suspect broke into a KFC restaurant early Tuesday morning.

Just after 2:30 a.m., officers responded to the KFC restaurant at 233 S. DuPont Highway for an alarm activation. On arrival, police found that the drive-thru window was broken, and video surveillance showed a male suspect entering the business after breaking the window with a hammer. The suspect then damaged cash registers and a safe with the hammer before fleeing with an unknown amount of cash.

The suspect was reportedly wearing a dark colored jacket with rectangular stitching on the back with a light colored hood, dark pants, and gloves.
