Flu vaccine clinics scheduled for Worcester Co. residents
SNOW HILL, Md. – The Worcester County Health Department is offering flu shots to the community next month.
Flu vaccines will be available for Worcester County residents at a drive-thru clinic at the John Walter Smith Park in Snow Hill, directly next to the health department. Clinics will be held by appointment only on November 12th and 19th, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. both days.
Individuals age 65 and older will have a choice of two flu vaccines, regular or high dose, which may result in a stronger immune response against the flu.
The health department will bill in-network insurance providers, including Medicare and Medicaid for the flu vaccine. Other insurances may be billed, and individuals should check their carrier regarding coverage. To be billed, current insurance cards must be presented at the time of vaccination. For those with Medicare, please bring your new Medicare card.
For uninsured individuals, the suggested donation for the flu shot is $15. No one will be denied service due to the inability to pay.
Appointments can be made online or by phone at 410-632-1100 option 4.
