DelDOT reminds motorists to use caution on flooded roadways

DOVER, Del. – DelDOT is advising motorists of possible road closures and/or restrictions due to flooding, downed trees, or power lines on Friday.

Motorists are urged to drive carefully and be alert for water on the roadways, and not drive through standing water. Flooded roadways or debris on the road should be reported to the Transportation Management Center at #77.

As of 11 a.m. Friday, the following roadways are closed or have high water levels:

Bridge on Cypress Point Road (Kent County): High water with signs in place
Shorts Landing Road (Kent County): Closed
Route 1 southbound shoulder near Key Box Road (Sussex County): Water on shoulder
