Bikers raise money for new Harriet Tubman sculpture through ride

CAMBRIDGE, Md. – Nearly 200 bikers came together this past Saturday to ride the Harriet Tubman Underground Railroad Byway.

Along the way they visited iconic sites while also raising over $12,000 for a brand new Harriet Tubman sculpture, which will be outside the Dorchester County Courthouse. The ride started and ended at Cambridge South Dorchester High School, and when they finished, riders received star-shaped gingerbread cookies made from Harriet Tubman’s original recipe.
