Berlin Fall Walk returns, providing community members a chance to ‘glow’

BERLIN, Md. In Berlin, one event is making a return allowing community members the chance to get some exercise in with a twist.

They’re doing that through the Fall Walk, presented by Berlin Parks Commission and the Worcester County Health Department.

Community members will be provided glow sticks during the evening walk. The event is a part of the Health Department’s Just Walk Worcester initiative, which encourages fitness while socializing. Organizers tell 47 ABC, that’s not even the best part.

“The just walk program actually offers walkers incentives. As they complete distances, they can get different prizes like t-shirts and stuff like that. That’s something that I really encourage people to check out,” said Deputy Town Administrator Mary Bohlen.

The walk will be on Friday, November 5th. All participants will receive a free raffle for a Berlin basket. Pre-registration is available here.
