Volunteer Delaware launching new Service Kit Project in September
DELAWARE- An organization is making a difference with a new volunteer initiative.
It’s called Service Kit Project and it’s being launched by Volunteer Delaware.
The organization said they are excited to promote projects like making cards or painting rocks for veterans and troops, and making dog and cat treats or toys.
We’re told the hope of the new project is to show others that service projects can be done in the comfort of their own home and even the smallest things can make a difference.
“There’s things you can do at home to really support your community and so the kits are going to be a great way for families, for small groups, classrooms to get involved do a meaningful act of service it might seem just like a small thing but these are so meaningful,” Suzanne Farris, Volunteer Services Administrator.
Volunteer Delaware is working with a couple of schools to get kits out.
You can start reserving kits on September 11 when it launches on the Volunteer Delaware site.
