UPDATE: Police investigating fatal crash in Milton, victim identified

9/17 UPDATE: Delaware State Police have identified the victim in this crash as 36-year-old Jonathan Downing Jr. of Milton.

MILTON, Del. – Delaware State Police are investigating a crash that left one person dead Tuesday evening.

At around 6 p.m., police say a 36-year-old man was driving his 2009 Jaguar on Cave Neck Road when their car went off the road, hit a sign, and then a utility pole. Police say the force of the impact caused the Jaguar to rotate clockwise and overturn.

We’re told the driver was not wearing a seatbelt and was later pronounced dead at a nearby hospital.
