OC Life Saving Station Museum bringing back Historic House Tour event
OCEAN CITY, Md.- The Ocean City Life Saving Station Museum is excited to bring back their annual Historic House Tour next month.
Like many others the museum wasn’t able to have their tour last year due to the pandemic.
But, this year people will can go on a self guided walking tour in downtown Ocean City visiting some of the oldest homes, churches, and establishments.
At each location their will be an educator onsite to discuss the history.
The curator of the Museum said not only will this House Tour be a unique experience it will also raise money for a scholarship.
“We’re here to preserve history and this is the perfect way to showcase the historic side of your favorite beach town and it’s really important because it’s a fundraiser for our George and Susan scholarship we give away $2,000 to a high school student in Worcester County,” Christine Okerblom, Curator at the Ocean City Life Saving Station Museum, said.
This annual event did begin in 2018 and is a part of Worcester County History Week from October 10th through the 16th.
