LIFE conference to help address much needed resources for those with a disability
DELAWARE – The Liberty and Independence for Everyone planning committee is hosting it’s 23rd annual LIFE conference virtually. We’re told the conference focuses on providing information, educational resources and opportunities for those with disabilities, their families, caregivers and educators.
It’ll go on September 15th, 21st, and 22nd. The goal is to focus on the areas of legislation, independence, families, and education Organizers say, the past year magnetized issues those with disabilities and their families have been facing, and now they’re trying to work together to make sure they get the resources they need. “Sometimes those areas feel isolated so we wanted people to know that they are not alone and that they are in this thing together,” says, Emmanuel Jenkins, the Community Outreach Coordinator for LIFE. He adds, “And with the right information, the right resources, and the right people at the table, you can overcome whatever you’re going through.”
Jenkins also tells us, they’re just excited to virtually see people again and work together to find what needs to change in regards to resources for those with disabilities.
If you’re looking to find resources or want to network, the last day to register for the event is Friday at 11:59 p.m.
