Delmar holds off Red Lion in home opener
DELMAR, De- The Delmar Wildcats evened their record up 1-1 on Friday night, defeating Red Lion 21-14 at Francis E. Nunvar Stadium.
Delmar led 13-0 midway thru the second quarter, only to see the Red Lions score 14-unanswered points to take a one point lead into halftime.
The Wildcats took the lead back for good with 8:10 left in the fourth. Quarterback Gavin Powell took a QB sneak 1-yard in for the touchdown. Delmar would convert the 2-pt conversion to go ahead 7. The defense would hold off RLCA to secure the win.
