Delaware Veterans Stand Down postponed until 2022 due to COVID

DOVER, Del. – The Delaware Veterans Stand Down, originally scheduled for September 17th, has been postponed until 2022.

Organizer Liz Byers Jiron says this is due to the resurgence of COVID variants.

“Our team has been working for many months on this important outreach but we’ve decided it’s better safe than sorry, especially since the majority of veterans who attend are 60 or older,” Jiron said.

The event has been rescheduled for September 2022 at the same location, Dover’s Shutte Park.
