SEAFORD, Del. – A Dagsboro man is behind bars after being charged with his 5th DUI.

Just before 2:30 a.m. Thursday, troopers responded to Sussex Highway in the area of Bridgeville Highway for a report of an unconscious subject. On arrival, 56-year-old Maurice Baker was found lying across the driver and passenger seat of a Ford F250.

Further investigation revealed that Baker was driving the vehicle when he began to swerve on the roadway. When he stopped on the shoulder, he became unconscious.

Baker was taken to a nearby hospital and after being medically cleared was taken into custody. He was held at SCI on a $6,200 secured bond after being charged with 5th offense DUI of any drug, consumption of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
