Town of Berlin looking forward to hosting Oktoberfest

BERLIN, Md.- People can look forward to the Oktoberfest and Sidewalk sale coming back in a little over a month.

We are told last year they scaled the event down and they didn’t have the complete festival.

So, this year the town is thrilled to be back in full swing.

Saying they added a variety of different food stations this year.

They are encouraging restaurants to set out tents for people to eat outside.

And they will have also have two bands to add to all the fun that happens downtown.

“We’re anticipating a larger crowd, we are spreading things out all over the place,” Ivy Wells, Director of Economic and Community Development for Berlin, said.

“We’ll have face painting, we’ll have kids activities, we’ll have pumpkin painting and yea just come to Berlin and have a good time, it’s Oktoberfest in Berlin,” Wells said.

We are told events like these always help the downtown business, and it helps bring people back to Berlin.
