We’re told they only have 40 spots left.

The limit this year was 4,000 people.

This year they will have two routes that participants can choose from with staggered start times.

They will also have a virtual option.

Participants do not have to be vaccinated.

Organizers told us with an in-person event this year, they are trying to make participants as comfortable as possible.

As well as stay optimistic, as COVID-19 protocols can change any moment.

“Right now, we are really positive and we are not looking at it, again it’s on the back burner unfortunately its a living virus its not going away but we are ready in a matter of, we probably need a good 12 hours to make a flip but we have like 3 tier plan in effect in regard to worse case scenario to best place scenario,” Amy Waters, Deputy Director of SU Foundation, said.

Waters said they have already made over $5,000 dollars in proceeds going to SU scholarships.

She added that if Salisbury University needs to pivot according to COVID-19 protocols they’ll do so.
