Police: Occupied vehicle shot, investigation underway

DOVER, Del. – Dover Police are investigating after an occupied vehicle was reportedly shot early Monday morning.

According to police, the incident occurred shortly before 5 a.m. on Whatcoat Drive, in the area of Building 956. When officers arrived on scene, they contacted two subjects who reported that they were in a van with four other people when unknown suspects began firing shots at them.

No injuries were reported, but the van was hit three times. A total of 12 shell casings were found in the area where the incident took place.
