Police arrest two in connection to stolen vehicle in Harrington

1280 Harrington Stolen Vehicle

HARRINGTON, Del. – Police in Harrington arrested two people over the weekend in connection to a stolen vehicle.

We’re told in June of this year, Harrington Police were contacted regarding a stolen vehicle that occurred at Oakcrest Furniture. It was learned through the investigation that unknown suspects had entered the property and stole a 2006 Chevrolet pick-up truck.

Through further investigation, police were able to locate the vehicle parked behind a resident on Hickory Lane in Dover. 32-year-old Shannon Guthrie-Fisher and 39-year-old William Wilson, both of Dover, were identified as the suspects who received the vehicle after it was stolen. Warrants were obtained for both, and the pair later turned themselves into the Harrington Police Department.

Both were charged with receiving stolen property over $1500 and were released on their own recognizance pending a future court appearance.

The investigation is ongoing, and more suspects are believed to be involved. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Harrington Police Department at 302-398-4493 ext. 43 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-TIP-3333.
