Ocean City Emergency Services responding to swimmer in distress call



OCEAN CITY, MD.-  Just after 3 p.m. this afternoon, emergency agencies responded to a call of a swimmer in distress.

The 17-year-old male swimmer was last seen off 112th street.

47 ABC has confirmed that a Coast Guard helicopter and a small boat is also helping aid in the search.

Lifeguards performed shoreline searches and Maryland Natural Resources Police and the Ocean City Fire Department are helping in efforts to find the swimmer.

As of right now, officials have not said what condition the swimmer is in.

We’re told searches will continue throughout the night and into the morning.
