Moveable Feasts’ mission to feed those on the Eastern shore is growing with help from Perdue
EASTERN SHORE, Md. – The Franklin P. and Arthur W. Perdue foundation is expanding their mission to feed families across the state. This is being made possible by a grant they provided for “Moveable Feast Home Delivered Meals.’
We’re told the Perdue Foundation awarded a $30,000 grant to Moveable Feast to help purchase a new delivery vehicle. This new vehicle will help further their reach on the Eastern shore, as more families are in need after this past year.
The Moveable Feast caters to those experiencing food insecurity, or those who are unwell. Those with the Perdue Foundation tell us, their partnership with the Moveable Feast furthers their mission to help families and provide them with a major necessity, food. “We know how important nutritious meals are to get on a families table, we know the challenges that many families are facing not only in these times of COVID but in recent times as well,” says Executive Director of the Franklin P. and Arthur W. Perdue Foundation, Kim Nechay. She adds, “We’re a food company, and we want to make sure our neighbors in need are getting as much nutritious protein based meals that we can provide.”
