Local organization hosts unity rally, aims to restore hope in community

DELMAR, DE.- Local organizations and community members gathered today for a unity rally.

The Unity Rally was designed to strengthen community connections and boost morale.

Organizers say initiatives like this are ones that help develop real change and show that there is no divide.

We’re told, one of the big pushes was to bring more resources to Sussex County and get more conversations started

Organizers say change can only come when community members come together. “So today’s event was emphasizing the need to bring the community and law enforcement together to work together and start to development real change in our state,” said OutLoud LLC CEO Jalyn Powell.

“So Really emphasize that me as an advocate in my work and what I do is built on the foundation that I want to be the change I wish to see.”

Community members say they hope to continue to see the events grow statewide but the main focus now is Sussex County.
