Harriett’s House in need of volunteers and sponsors for Second Annual “Freedom Brunch” fundraiser

CAMBRDIGE, Md.- A drop-in center that helps victims of human trafficking is planning to have their second annual “Freedom Brunch” fundraiser.

Harriett’s House was unable to have this fundraiser in person last year due to the pandemic.

But this year, they are coming back strong and will hold the event at Sail Winds in October.

They will have speakers talking about the issue of human trafficking, as well as the need for residential programming on the Eastern Shore.

We’re told events like this one are important continuing growing the organization-so all the support they can get for this event is helpful.

“Just the more people that we have in this fight the better, we can’t do it alone so we need people to sponsor to support, to stand up, to not be silent anymore about the issue and to just come along side of us and join us in the fight,” Julie Crain, the Executive Director of Harriett’s House, said.

We’re told that his funding will help them continue to make renovations for their residential program they’re opening up.

They are looking for sponsors and volunteers right now for the October 16 event, which begins at 9:30 a.m.
