Children’s business fair showcases entrepreneur skills and kids ready to take on the business world

PRINCES ANNE, Md. – Elementary school children in Princess Anne got a taste of running a small businesses.

The Princess Anne Children’s Business Fair ran from 9 am to 1pm on Saturday on the Somerset County fair grounds. It featured dozens of pop up shops selling, food, arts and crafts, toys and even cleaning supplies, all made by and run by the children.

Children at the event say despite the weather, demand was higher than they could keep up with, “It’s really surprising because I never thought I would do this. it’s also quite difficult to run your little shop because people keep coming and you have no time to put the money in the bag and not a ton space to do anything,” says Gavin McLeod, a kid business owner.
