Berlin issues mask mandate in town offices

BERLIN, Md. –

The town of Berlin has officially instituted a mask mandate in town offices effective immediately. Officials announced the mask requirement Wednesday morning.

They say that the CDC has placed Worcester County in a “substantial spread level for COVID-19. The guidance from the CDC for communities with substantial or high rates recommends both vaccinated and unvaccinated people wear masks indoors.

At this time, Town offices remain open to the public without occupancy-number restrictions. Meetings will continue to be open to the public and broadcast live via Facebook with questions and comments accepted in person.

Utility customers are encouraged to continue to use the online bill pay function via the Town’s website. Payments may also be made via mail or by dropping your bill off at one of the two drop boxes available at Town Hall.
