Two injured in early morning shooting, DSP investigating

DOVER, Del. – Delaware State Police are investigating an early morning shooting at the Crystal Loft Hukkah Lounge.

At approximately 1:20 a.m. Monday, troopers were called to the business, located at 1156 S. Bay Road, for a reported shooting. On arrival, troopers found two individuals and four vehicles had been hit by gunfire.

Further investigation revealed that after a large party at the lounge, an unknown number of suspects shot more than 50 rounds in the business parking lot and the parking lot of Tony’s Auto, just south of the Hukkah Lounge. During the incident, a 28-year-old woman and 27-year-old man, both of Dover, were hit while fleeing the scene in vehicles. Both victims were taken to the hospital by private vehicles where they were treated for minor injuries and released.
