Senator Ernie Lopez announces upcoming retirement

DELAWARE– Senator Ernie Lopez announced Friday that he will not be seeking re-election to a fourth term in the Delaware State Senate.

Senator Lopez served the people of the 6th district for the last decade.

In a statement, he said in part quote “it has been a tremendous honor to serve you and your families.”

He adds that he looks forward to continuing that service until the end of his current term, which is November 8th 2022.
