President of local non-profit honored with award

SALISBURY, Md. – The president of a non-profit just received the William Donald Schaefer Helping People Award on Monday.

We are celebrating Amber Green with the Fenix Youth Project on her award. The award came from the Maryland Comptroller’s Office and was established in 2012. The award recognizes those individuals in all of the state’s 24 jurisdictions who are committed to helping others.

We’re told award recipients are selected because they help improve their community, actively respond to citizen’s problems, aid most vulnerable populations, and establish a partnership to improve the lives of fellow Marylanders.
