UPDATE: Police investigating domestic assault in Berlin

7/21 UPDATE: Police have released more information on Tuesday’s domestic assault in Berlin.

We’re told as a result of this investigation, two juvenile suspects have been arrested and charged with attempted first degree murder and other related charges.

The investigation is continuing.

BERLIN, Md. – Police in Worcester County are investigating a domestic assault that took place Tuesday morning.

We’re told at approximately 10 a.m., the Berlin Police Department and Worcester County Sheriff’s Office responded to Oceans East Luxury Apartments on Shore Break Lane for a reported assault. Berlin EMS also responded.

On arrival, police learned that a family member of the residence had injured another family member. The Coastal Learning Center, Stephen Decatur Middle and High Schools were all placed under shelter in place status as a precaution.

We’re told the single victim was taken to TidalHealth Peninsula Regional with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. The known suspect reportedly fled the area prior to police arrival and remains at large.
