Four arrested on burglary and assault charges in Ocean City
OCEAN CITY, Md. – Ocean City Police arrested four people, including two juveniles, on first degree burglary charges earlier this week.
Just before midnight Tuesday, officers responded to a downtown apartment building on the Boardwalk for a report of a disorderly group. On arrival, officers met with one of the victims, who reported that four males chased him into his apartment, kicked the door in, threatened him and his friends while trying to rob them.
Officers quickly located the suspects a short distance away. During the investigation, it was determined that the suspects and victims had gotten into a verbal altercation on the Boardwalk, which reportedly continued as they arrived back at the victim’s apartment. The four suspects forced their way into the apartment, assaulting the victims and trying to rob them of their personal belongings.
Police arrested 19-year-old James Jones and 19-year-old Christianne Igao, both of Owings Mills, MD, as well as two 15-year-old juveniles of Baltimore. Jones and Igao were each charged with home invasion: breaking & entering with intent to commit an act of violence, first degree burglary, three counts of first degree assault, third degree burglary, two counts of robbery, three counts of second degree assault, two counts of false imprisonment, and trespass – private property. They were both held without bond.
