Dog owner brings awareness to animal cruelty after loss of companion

OAK ORCHARD, DE.-  One dog owner is still fighting for justice after losing his furry friend.

Tank was a 1-year old chocolate lab who was shot and killed last year.

The man who shot tank was charged with a felony crime of cruelty to animals.

The accused waived his preliminary hearing and the case now heads to superior court.

He was trained to be an emotional support dog, as his owner had health issues.

Now, the owners continue to speak out bringing awareness to animal cruelty.

With the support of neighbors and other community members Tank’s parents now have a petition with over 2,500 signatures, and lawmakers have also joined in the fight for #Justice4Tank.
