Del. elementary school selected to receive funds from 100 Hometowns initiative
SELBYVILLE, Del. – One elementary school was one of 100 projects across the nation to be selected as part of the Lowe’s 100 Hometowns initiative.
As part of being selected, the Phillip C. Showell Elementary Schools will receive $100,000 for new equipment to redesign or build a new playground for its students. The 100 Hometowns program will complete 100 projects in 37 states to rebuild areas damaged by natural disasters, restore community centers, and revive green spaces. The principal of PCS says they are extremely thankful to be one of the recipients and this funding will allow them to create an updated, safe, and fun place space for the students.
