Bridgeville residence damaged in shots fired incident

BRIDGEVILLE, Del. – Delaware State Police are investigating a shots fired incident that happened Saturday night in Bridgeville.

At around 2:30 p.m. Sunday, troopers responded to a residence in the 8000 block of Cannon Road for a report of shots fired. It was determined that the residence was hit by a single bullet in a second story window at an unknown time Saturday night into Sunday morning. No one was home at the time of the shooting, and no injuries were reported. When the homeowner returned home, he found the damage as well as a bullet inside of a storage room.

Troopers searched the area and found one spent shell casing on the shoulder of Cannon Road, north of the residence. There are no surveillance images at this time, and currently no description of the suspect.
