After cancer diagnosis, local author publishes romance novel

DELMARVA – One local author turned a terrifying diagnosis into making her dream come true by publishing a book.

She goes by the pen name Greenleigh Adams, and she says she was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer a few years ago. Fearing that she may not have much time left, she says she knew one thing that was on her bucket list: to write a book.

So she got to writing. then editing, then publishing Love Burns, a romance story that she says she always wanted to tell.

“After I got diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, I kind of felt like I had a short period of time, I didn’t know how long I was going to have, so I was like I’ve always wanted to write a novel, I have to do it, so it just finally gave me that gumption to start it I guess,” she said.
