Pleasants strikes out 16, leads Vikings to regional title
CAMBRIDGE, Md. – Cambridge-South Dorchester softball won their regional title game against North Dorchester, 5-2, Saturday afternoon.
M’kya Molock’s third inning single scored two runners, breaking a 1-1 deadlock.
Kady Willey added another run in the fifth inning with a single to right field. Willey would come around to score later in the inning.
Senior pitcher Madison Pleasants struck out 16, including the final three batters of the game.
“We’ve been pushing for this since my freshman year, and I’m glad we finally achieved it. We worked so hard to get here,” said Pleasants.
