Nandua claims first state championship since ’03

Warriors' boys soccer takes Class 2 title

ONLEY, Va- The Nandua Warriors boys soccer team claimed their first VHSL title in 18 years, taking down Graham 6-1 on Wednesday afternoon.

Odin Bolster finished with 3 goals in the title game, with teammate Son Joseph netting two scores.

Bryan Tinoco got Nandua on the board early in the first half, after Graham took a 1-0 lead minutes into the game. After Tinoco’s opening score, the Warriors never looked back.

Nandua took a 3-1 lead into the half, and continued to add to their lead in the second half.

Bolster would fire a free-kick past the Graham wall late in the match for the game’s final goal, capping off his hat trick.

The victory marks the program’s second state title (2003).
