Milford community organizations partner to help vaccinate underserved communities
MILFORD, Del. – As life returns to some normalcy, one group in Milford says they’re working to help the Haitian community return to normal as well, and getting them vaccinated is their focus.
We’re told Tabitha Medical Care partnered with Love and Hope Rescue Mission to get those in the Haitian community and other underserved communities, vaccinated.
The event was held at Milford high school, where there was food, music, vendors, giveaways and of course, vaccines. Governor carney’s team as well as other state and town officials were also at the event, and say they were excited to see it come together.
Tabitha Medical Care and those with Love and Hope Rescue Mission say, they want to help educate those who are still skeptical of the vaccine. “If we do our part, you do your part, we can have a safer Delaware,” says Rose Simon. “We’re here to help you, we are a resource organization here to help you out, to be by your side along the way, to help you out, help you with the path that you’re going.”
We’re also told, the first 100 attendees at the event were entered into a raffle to win a TV.
