Local hero gets ride of his life

OCEAN CITY, Md. – A man known as the “Hometown Hero” got the ride of his life on Friday.

Ahead of the OC Air Show, the Thunderbirds took Jonathan Bauer to the sky as a way to honor and thank him for his bravery and courageous act. You may remember last month Bauer jumped from the Route 90 Bridge into the bay to save the life of an 18-month-old baby who had fallen in after a major car accident.

The OC Air Show said they were honored to nominate this incredible hero to fly with the Thunderbirds. Bauer was also presented with a personalized lithograph that says, “to Jonathan Bauer, with sincere best wishes – the United States Air Force Thunderbirds”.
