Four arrested following stolen vehicle investigation
DOVER, Del. – Police say four people, including two juveniles, were arrested late last week during a stolen vehicle investigation.
We’re told the investigation was a joint effort between the Dover Police Department, U.S. Marshals First State Fugitive Task Force, Delaware State Police, and Delaware Probation and Parole. Officers were investigating reports of two stolen vehicles when they observed four subjects inside one of the stolen vehicles parked in the 100 block of Willis Road. When officers approached, the subjects reportedly all fled on foot, but were quickly apprehended.
18-year-old Kymora Artis was charged with receiving stolen property, second degree conspiracy, and resisting arrest. She was later released on her own recognizance.
Police say Dontrez Dickson dropped a 9mm handgun while fleeing on foot and was charged with receiving stolen property, second degree conspiracy, resisting arrest, and carrying a concealed deadly weapon. He was released on his own recognizance.
A 16-year-old male and 17-year-old male were released to their parents/guardians after being charged with receiving stolen property, second degree conspiracy, and resisting arrest.
