Fire destroys Harrington home, family now in need of support
HARRINGTON, Del.- Family members and friends are trying to raise donations for a family that lost nearly everything in a fire early Saturday morning.
The house is in the area of Harrington and had an electrical fire on the second floor.
We are told by a family member that one of the children in the house smelled the smoke and told her parents.
While everyone was able to make it out alive, everything inside was destroyed.
So, now family and friends are trying to raise money with go-fund-me pages and collecting items to get the family back on their feet.
“Obviously they need clothes and you know just items to get through the day, but I started it so we can you know get the dumpster get everything cleaned up I mean we have starting costs, but just to keep the ball going,” Eddie Haines, a family member, said.
“We are just trying to do what we can as fast we can you know, they are a family of 5 and they just need help and support and love,” Samantha Brown, family-friend, said.
The family is looking for donations, food, clothes toys, and essential items.
