Drive-thru vaccine clinic open at OC Convention Center

Ocean City is playing host to a drive-up vaccine clinic this weekend. FEMA is partnering wtih the Maryland Emergency Management Agency and State Health Department to host the event. It will be held at the Ocean City Convention Center.

The State says since Ocean City is one of the areas biggest tourist attractions and host for seasonal workers it was important for them to hit the area. Site workers say accessibility is the big push and to get as many people vaccinated as possible.

“This is really just to prevent death. Which being vaccinated to prevent death is better than if there were any side effects,” says Wendy Liu, Peace Corps Response Volunteer Coordinate and FEMA Crew Lead.

The vaccination site is open 9AM – 5PM through June 6.
