Brandywine Valley SPCA hosting $10 cat adoption special

DELAWARE – If you’ve been wanting to find the perfect companion for you and your family, the Brandywine Valley SPCA is the place to be this weekend.

The shelter is hosting their “Beat the Heat, Adopt a Cool Cat” promotion until Sunday, so every adult cat is just ten dollars to adopt. That $10 fee includes everything you’d get with a normal adoption like spay and neuter, vaccinations, and more.

Linda Torelli with the Brandywine Valley SPCA says since this time of the year is known as kitten season, they really wanted to find a way to help adult cats find their forever homes.

“This time of year is really tough on the adult kitties, a lot of people gravitate toward the kittens because they’re so cute and they want to bring them home maybe if they have kids, but kittens are a lot of work, just like puppies, and so we’re trying to get the spotlight on the adults,” Torelli said.
