14th Annual Flounder Tournament set for August

OCEAN PINES, Md. – It’s soon time to get those fishing rods ready and head out to Ocean Pines for the 14th annual Flounder Tournament.

That tournament will kick off on August 7th and bring in dozens of anglers hoping to reel in some flounder. Weigh in will then take place at the Ocean Pines Marina and Yacht Club.

An organizer with the event tells us one of the most exciting changes this year is that the winner could walk away with more money in their pockets!

“In the past years a tournament winner could expect, in total, anywhere from one to two thousand dollars, where this year we’re expecting that number to either triple or possibly quadruple,” Steven Sweigert said.
