Snow Hill election results announced

SNOW HILL, Md. – Melisa Weidner has been re-elected to the Central District Council seat in Snow Hill.

It was a close race with Weidner pulling 57 votes, and her opponent Jon Myers garnering 50 votes. This is Weidner’s second term in office.

Western District Council member Regina Blake ran unopposed, and Dr. Jennifer Jewell also ran unopposed for mayor. Also on the ballot were referendum votes for salary raises for the mayor and council members, which we’re told were passed by voters.

The election results are unofficial for now but will be certified on May 26th. Those elected will be sworn into office on June 8th.
