Fundraiser to benefit FOP Lodge 111, American Legion Post 64

SALISBURY, Md. – Organizers are gearing up for a carnival type fundraiser that will benefit several organizations right here in the community.

The event will be a Rio De Janeiro Carnaval, packed with a casino, food trucks, three live bands, a cash bar and so much more.

All of the money raised will stay in the community and will go toward the FOP Lodge 111, American Legion post 64, and to special needs children in the community. Organizers of the event say after Covid kept people at home for a long time, they’re excited to put on a fun event that’s all for a good cause.

“With Covid keeping everybody under wraps, a lot of our community needs help, and we’re here to help, this will be one of many events, and we want to start off with a bang,” Staci Palmer, one of the organizers, said.

“It’s nice to see that with the restrictions lifted from Covid, that we’re all able to get back together, and this is going to be a great thing for our community,” Scott Hamilton, President of FOP Lodge 111, added.

That event will be hosted at the FOP Lodge 111 on June 12 from 1 p.m. until 11 p.m. Tickets can be bought on Facebook by searching Staci Palmer.
