Denton Police ask for public’s help in search for shooting suspect

DENTON, Md. — Denton Police say they are searching for the person responsible for shooting someone Tuesday afternoon.

Police say around 12:40 p.m. they received a call for a victim of a gunshot being dropped off at the Fire Company. When officers arrived,  they found the victim and immediately administered first aid to control the bleeding until other first responders took over care. The victim was taken by helicopter to Shock Trauma for further treatment.

Denton PD says the victim had to get surgery but was listed in stable condition as of Tuesday evening.

But police say they need the community’s help identifying the suspect in the shooting.
