Two injured in Dover shooting, police investigating
DOVER, Del. – Dover Police are investigating a shooting that injured two Wednesday evening.
Just before 7 p.m., officers responded to the parking lot of the TGI Friday’s restaurant for a report of two people being shot. When officers arrived, they made contact with a 20-year-old female with a single gunshot wound to her buttocks, and a 22-year-old male with a single gunshot wound to the left arm.
Further investigation revealed that the pair was traveling on S. Little Creek Road, in the area of Fox Road, when a vehicle passed them on the left and the front seat passenger reportedly fired several shots as they were moving. The suspect vehicle fled, while the victims drove to the TGI Friday’s parking lot and called police.
Both victims were taken to Bayhealth Kent General Hospital by ambulance for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
We’re told that specific details of this case cannot be disclosed at this time, however, detectives believe that this was not a random act based on information obtained during the investigation.
